ASEAN Logics is one of the Programmes proposed during the 2nd ASEAN Student Leaders’ Summit and Cultural Festival held at Angeles University Foundation, Angeles City, Philippines on January 26, 2007.


ASEAN Students Engaging Action for Local and Regional Contribution to Society (ASEAN Logics) is a forum that is designed to facilitate direct interaction among ASEAN youth and is specifically focused on increasing the regional awareness among Southeast Asians youth. The Programme seeks to provide a platform for participants to share their knowledge and discuss their roles and responsibilities as youth in addressing the issues in the ASEAN region. 





The Programme will rotate around the ASEAN countries and it was held for the first time in Indonesia in 2007.
This time around,in collaboration with ASEAN Foundation and the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia will be the host country. The Programme will be held in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and will include site visits area in Kelantan, Terengganu and Sabah.

ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur 2010 zooms in on experience-sharing and working towards a joint action among the participating countries. Its main aim is to convene youth from ASEAN member countries in one forum and facilitate them in taking direct actions to resolve a variety of issues affecting the community around them.This program was funded by ASEAN FOUNDATION thru Japan-ASEAN Solidarity Fund and Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur 2010 which is organized by WAWASAN CLUB of International Islamic University Malaysia, will lasts for a period of 12 densely packed days in 2nd of February,2010. There will be four phases in this program comprising a one-day conference, seminars/working-group discussions for several days, site visits and a plenary session. The one-day conference will be a formal conference together with the opening ceremony of ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur 2010. This conference is also known by the name of ASEAN LOGICS Conference 2010. Subsequent to the opening ceremony there will be several paper presentations focusing on ASEAN itself. The next phase will be the seminars and working-group discussions conducted in a semi-formal manner. The main focus will be on understanding the problems and issues that beset the ASEAN community. The third stage will be the site visits that enable delegates from ASEAN member countries to further interact with one another and intensify their field-based knowledge. The final phase will be the plenary session where delegations share their findings and experiences during the site visits. At this stage they would also finalize their plan of actions and plan on the means of executing it. The delegates in ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur 2010 are selected undergraduate students from ASEAN member countries.

There will be 44 delegates from each ASEAN member country and four additional delegates form the host country, Malaysia. During the one-day conference, the delegates will be joined by participants from various higher learning institutions around Malaysia, school children and members of the public. The ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur Conference 2010 aims to provide an overview of ASEAN to as many youth as possible. Participants will be educated on the history of ASEAN, its structure and mechanism. The Conference will also disclose to the youth the efforts made by ASEAN for their benefit as well as how the youth could engage themselves in helping ASEAN realizing its vision of one ASEAN community by 2015.
